Price report · Egg freezing
Egg freezing cost: UK vs Czechia, Spain, Singapore
Egg freezing cost for one cycle of collecting and freezing eggs runs £3,675 to £4,200 at the two UK NHS clinics we found that publish a price for self-funded patients, and from €1,990 (about £1,670) in Czechia. Below: each clinic's price and whether medicines and storage are in it, what the HFEA says medicines, storage and thawing add, and the price of the trip from the UK.

Short answer
Egg freezing cost in the UK averages £3,350 for having your eggs collected and frozen, the HFEA says, with medication adding £500 to £1,500 and storage £125 to £350 a year. Clinic prices differ most in what they leave out: the medicines, the tests before you start and storage after the first year or two.
- UK average (HFEA)
- £3,350, plus £500–£1,500 medication
- UK NHS clinics, self-funded
- £3,675 (Cambridge, medicines in) and £4,200 (Salisbury)
- Czechia
- from €1,990 (Prague), €2,190 (Brno)
- Spain
- from €2,390 (Barcelona)
- Singapore
- S$12,888 with medicines (Raffles)
- Storage
- £125–£350 a year in the UK (HFEA)
Key findings
- Medicines decide the comparison. Cambridge IVF and Raffles in Singapore include the stimulation drugs; PRONATAL in Prague says its price does not; Salisbury, Reprofit and Dexeus do not say.
- Czechia and Spain publish the lowest cycle fees. From £1,670 at PRONATAL, against £3,675 at Cambridge IVF with medicines included.
- With travel and medicines, abroad is close. The cheapest trip is about £2,910 in Czechia with a flight and 14 hotel nights; add the HFEA's £500 to £1,500 for medicines and it is about £3,410 to £4,410, against £3,675 at Cambridge IVF with medicines included.
- Freezing is only part of the bill. The HFEA puts thawing and transfer at about £2,500 more, and the whole process at £7,000 to £8,000.

Egg freezing cost, clinic by clinic
Each price is from the clinic's own price page, read 31 October 2026. Read what is included before comparing two clinics.
Prices as each clinic published them; converted amounts are rounded. The NHS clinics here charge these prices to self-funded patients. Clinics that publish only a price range or a broker's quote are not listed.
What else egg freezing costs: medicines, storage and thawing
- Medicines. The HFEA puts medication at £500 to £1,500 on top of the average £3,350 in the UK (HFEA). Where a clinic's price leaves them out, ask for the cost at your dose before you compare.
- Storage. £125 to £350 a year in the UK, the HFEA says. The prices here include 1 or 2 years at most clinics; ask what each later year costs.
- Tests before you start. The HFEA says you will be tested for infectious diseases such as HIV and hepatitis first. Reprofit and Raffles list these or the AMH test as extra.
- Using the eggs. The HFEA puts thawing eggs and transferring them to the womb at an average of £2,500, and the whole process at £7,000 to £8,000. Salisbury charges £4,000 for an egg thawing cycle; Reprofit €1,925 for IVF with your own frozen eggs.
Egg freezing abroad from the UK: price with travel
The HFEA says the process usually takes two to three weeks, most of it injections and scans before the collection. Here each clinic's price in pounds gets an example return flight and 14 hotel nights at £80 a night, the same estimates our calculator uses, against the lowest UK price we found: £3,675 at Cambridge IVF, medicines included.
Flight and hotel are rough examples, not quotes. Medicines are included at Raffles and Cambridge only; add the HFEA's £500 to £1,500 elsewhere. The eggs stay in the clinic's storage unless you arrange and pay to move them.
Is egg freezing worth it? What the HFEA says
The HFEA says egg freezing is becoming more successful but is by no means a guarantee of having a baby. Most patients under 38 have around 7 to 14 eggs collected, fewer with a low ovarian reserve, and the eggs are frozen by slow cooling or by vitrification, which its statistics show is more successful. Because frozen-egg numbers are small, it advises looking at a clinic's success rates for fresh IVF cycles with women's own eggs in your age band, and asking the clinic for its own recent egg freezing results for women your age.
Risks. The HFEA says some women have side effects from the fertility drugs, usually mild, but in extreme cases ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which can be fatal. The major risk, it says, is that it won't work. You can store eggs for up to 55 years if you renew your consent every 10 years.
What to ask a clinic before you pay
- Are the medicines in the price? If not, what will they cost at my dose?
- Which tests do I pay for first? Infectious disease screening and the AMH test are extra at some clinics.
- How many years of storage are included, and what does each year cost after that?
- What do thawing and IVF with the frozen eggs cost later? Ask for the clinic's price now.
- What are your results for women my age? The HFEA asks you to get a full costed treatment plan before you commit.

Egg freezing cost: questions
How much does egg freezing cost in the UK?
The HFEA, the UK fertility regulator, says the average cost of having your eggs collected and frozen is £3,350, with medication an added £500 to £1,500 and storage £125 to £350 a year. Two NHS clinics that treat self-funded patients publish £3,675 (Cambridge IVF, medicines and 1 year of storage included) and £4,200 (Salisbury Fertility Centre) for one cycle.
How much does the whole egg freezing process cost?
The HFEA says thawing eggs and transferring them to the womb costs an average of £2,500, so the whole process of freezing and later thawing costs an average of £7,000 to £8,000, before more storage years.
Is egg freezing cheaper abroad?
The cycle fee is. PRONATAL in Prague publishes from €1,990 (about £1,670) without medicines, against £3,675 with medicines at Cambridge IVF. With an example return flight and 14 hotel nights, the cheapest trip comes to about £2,910. Using the eggs later means another trip, or moving them, which the clinic has to arrange.
How much is egg freezing in Singapore?
Raffles Fertility Centre lists an elective egg freezing package at S$12,888 including GST (about £7,540), with fertility medications, egg collection and freezing and 1 year of storage, for women aged 21 to 38. Consultations and scans before stimulation, AMH and other blood tests are extra.
How long can eggs be stored in the UK?
Up to 55 years, the HFEA says, if you renew your consent to storage every 10 years. Storage is charged every year, so ask each clinic what it costs after the first year or two included in the price.
How many eggs do you get in one cycle?
The HFEA says most patients under 38 will have around 7 to 14 eggs collected, though not always if your ovarian reserve is low. It warns that egg freezing is becoming more successful but is by no means a guarantee of having a baby.
